Dr. Rakus qualified as a medical practitioner at Sydney University, Australia in 1974 and is fully registered with the General Medical Council and Care Quality Commission Registration in the UK. Over the years, having trained in all aspects of non-surgical facial rejuvenation, she has become a highly experienced practitioner in her field of Cosmetic Medicine and is a founder and Fellow of The British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD) - see their website www.cosmeticdoctors.co.uk, She is also involved in training, lecturing and setting standards for practicing doctors within this field.
Dr. Rakus has over 20 years of aesthetic experience and her prestigious clinic is based in Knightsbridge opposite Harrods with a network of satellite clinics throughout the UK. She has become a market leader in medical PR and 5 star medispa services, which has developed her practice into the largest solo non-surgical injectable practice in the UK, the 5th largest Thermage® clinic in the world and the first official Pelleve® centre in the UK. She also conducts regular seminars in Monte Carlo and travels the world lecturing and keeping up to date with the latest trends in the aesthetic market.
Named by the media as the ‘London Lip Queen’ Dr Rakus she has made numerous television appearances including 10 Years Younger (C4) which she won in 2010. She has appeared in ‘Under the Knife’(ITV), ‘Kitchen Sink to Catwalk’ (Biography Channel), ‘Plastic Fantastic’ (BBC), ‘Lunch-Hour Facelift’ (C4) and ‘Celebrity Fat Club’ (ITV) . Dr Rakus aims to provide the highest level of expertise in non-surgical facial rejuvenation by way of facial line reduction and lip enhancement using injectables (Restylane®, Perlane®, Touch®, Vital®, LIPP®, JuvedermUltra®, JuvedermSmile®, JuvedermVoluma®, JuvedermHydrate®, Sub-Q®, Sculptra®, Botox®, Dysport® and Vistabel ®) plus facial peeling and Pristine® microdermabrasion for skin rejuvenation. Soprano and LightSheer Duet laser treatments are available for hair removal plus IPL (intense pulse light) treatments for skin rejuvenation and sclerotherapy for leg veins. VelaShape® treatments are used for cellulite whilst Thermage® and Pelleve ®using radio frequency (RF) are used for facial and body contouring and cellulite. Fraxel® laser is available for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne scars and stretchmarks. Laserlipolisi® (Smartlipo) is for the removal of subcutaneous fat using laser assisted technology plus LipoSonix ® using high frequency focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for the removal of abdominal fat.
Dr. Rakus has acted as a consultant and/or trainer for Q-Med UK Ltd. (Restylane etc.), Sigmacon (Thermage®, Fraxel®, LipoSonix® and Pelleve®). She is currently one of the Training Validators for Allergan Ltd. (Botox/Vistabel) within the UK and the Hans Road practice is one of the training centres for Sigmacon UK Ltd.
